Jim Garnett is the "Mr. G."  behind the AskMrG Financial Library.  He is the veteran
Director of Education for Consumer Credit of America, a/k/a Consumer Credit of Des
Moines, one of the largest credit counseling agencies in the Mid-West.  He brings over
30 years experience in counseling, writing, and speaking to each topic he discusses.  

He has authored seven books on the subjects of financial management and family
counseling.  His book "How To Have Money With The Money You Have" is approved by
the US Bankruptcy Trustees as a teaching tool for financial education.  It has been
referred to as "A financial survival manual for today's family."  

Jim serves as past Chairman of the Iowa Jumpstart Coalition and sits on its Board of
Directors. He also is a charter member of the Board of Educational Advisors for the
Institute of Consumer Financial Education (ICFE) in San Diego, CA.

Jim is also a Nationally Certified Parent Trainer and conducts the
nationally acclaimed Smart Discipline for Parents Seminar.  His

He and his wife Ginny live in Ankeny, Iowa.
